Default differential/axle options

so i got a guy in my area with a few sets of axles and differentials....im looking to swap mine out and wondering if these fit good and are a good choice, and which of the 3 sets would be the best choice?

d60+10.25 1991 4:10 king pin 700$
d60+10.5 2004 new brakes + new leaf springs 700$
d60+10.5 2007 coil springs 700$

i was thinking the 91 w/king pin...but am unsure if the newer ones are better...

The kingpin 60 would be my first choice but all have a very narrow driver side tube and makes spring placement interesting. Don't care for the metric versions due to the bearings they use and plan on running a 17"+ wheel with those as well.

exactly. Plus the 10.5 is a metric lug pattern which is not that common, so you cant run some popular wheels, h1/h2 etc. Its also hard to find used, because most people use the normal 8x6.5" pattern.
That drivers tube on any 60 past 79 is really a pain, you will either have to cut the casting back and weld the tube, or be very vreative with coil mounts. There is nothing available off the shelf. Trust me.
I do prefer the sterling rear axle though.

well the guy said in his ad that the 2007 uses coil springs, does this mean i have to cut and weld a new coil perch? or are they already in the correct place?

at worst there are a bunch of custom fab shops in my area, so i could always go and get it done by a pro, i just figure at 700$ for the front and rear axle is a steal....the guy sells parts and builds trucks for a living, which is the reason he has so many parts, he told me that he is getting more soon

You're going to have to cut off the mounts and weld on new ones reguardless of which ever axle you get.
