Difference in ride quality between Moog CC782 and OME 2930?
I recently installed some Mooc CC782 front springs along with some Crown HD leafs in the back. The Crown leafs raised the rear end up higher than I wanted and the whole Jeep feels a little bit too stiff for my liking. Can anyone comment on how the OME front springs might compare to the Moog CC782 springs in terms of harshness? I hate to do it, but I may end up swapping everything again. Thanks
OME 2930s are generally smoother than Moog CC782s less harsh on-road while still handling off-road well. If your setup’s too stiff, OME’s progressive rate might help. But if the Crown leafs are still overkill, consider OME’s lighter rear springs too. Swapping sucks, but ride quality’s worth it.
Yeah, it's a lot of work. But, I'm trying to really enjoy this Jeep. It's my first one and I love the style. It's important to me to get the height and ride quality spot on. I'm also trying to park under a vehicle lift and right now the Jeep is a quarter of an inch too tall to fit under this lift.

OME front springs with factory 1/2" seat/spacer = 2-1/4" lift matching the rear springs with one of the middle leafs removed from the spring pack OME front spring with 1-1/2" seat/spacer to net a 3-1/4" lift that matches the full pack lift on the back

OME 3" lift and 245/75 r16" BFG KO2's
with the full leaf pack and your 1.5" spacer, does it sit that nice and level with a little gear in the back? Say like 100 lbs of stuff? This 3rd Pic has me tempted to put that leaf back in and order that spacer!

Yes, it sets level with a modest load - If you think you might like to carry more get a shackle relocation kit and adjust it as you need it. This image shows my XJ climbing with a small tent, sleeping bags, cooler etc..
So the 2930 springs with the spacer do just fine? Or if a true 3" (+/-) is desired, what would the OME part number be? If my existing springs will work OK I'd just stick with them. OME is good stuff.
(Sorry OP, I do not mean to sidetrack your thread!)

I can't comment on your brand but I will tell you my experience.
I wanted 4" lift. My Jeep sat a little tail high so I opted for Currie progressive front springs 4" lift and Zone Offroad 3.0" lift rear leaf springs. The result was 4.25" front lift and 3.5" rear lift. The stance was just right. I have driven is several years that way. From the beginning the rear springs were too harsh. Neither the front or the rear settled with time.
I decided to remove one leaf from the rear springs. I removed the second from top leaf. Note wear spot from the removed leaf.
The ride height was reduced by about .5" in the rear. The ride is improved significantly during street driving. I haven't had it off road yet.
Maybe a way to solve your problem of too harsh a ride in the rear.
Perfect timing. I ended up doing just that. But my leaf pack only has 4 leaves and I was concerned removing any would make a drastic difference, so I decided to remove only the very bottom one. The result was a 1.25" drop and a much too soft a spring. Without the shocks installed I could bounce the Jeep up and down with one foot on the rear bumper. I started thinking that maybe it's my Bilsteins that are actually making the ride feel too stiff and not the springs at all. I just put the leaf pack back the way it was. I don't know what to do. Maybe I'll keep driving it this way and see if it softens up with time or just live with it.
I think I figured it out. I really just wanted like a 1.5 to 2" lift. I don't carry any loads to speak of. It's a daily driver, 2wd pavement only.
Right now I have the CC782 front coils with 3/4" spacers. I've decided against the OME coils because of cost and the fact that I already have the Moogs installed. In the back, the Crown HD leafs with the very bottom leaf removed and Bilstein shocks. I'm running 30" tires. I aired them down to 30 lbs from 35 and now I'm happy with the ride. The front sits a little higher than the rear now. I'm either going to remove the front spacers or swap back in a shorter fourth leaf spring in the back to raise it up a little. The curious part is that the Jeep does not sit level side to side. The driver's side rear is a half inch lower than the passenger side.
