i read other posts on here that stated otherwise.... Having it where the stock fill plug is which is an inch lower

 

Either way works....as long as you can stick your finger in the hole and touch oil, you're good. The extra 1" of oil won't hurt anything at all.

and if you have put a lift on the jeep, or changed the pinion angle, you may not even has as much oil as you did stock.
