Default Diff cover opinions?

The diffs on the xj are in need of a new gasket and a lil fluid. I was thinking about getting a stronger cover. I like the one from ARB but it's a bit pricey. Should I do that or just use the stock cover and bolt on a diff cage? Your thoughts?

Are you looking for looks or do you rock crawl? If you looking for both solid has nice ones for about $70 bucks i think. Or you can buy some type of skid that looks really nice but does not work as well. I know where you can get a type of skid thats twice as good as one cover and looks really nice also, from somebody for about $40 shipped

try this http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/...iffcovers.html

I got a cast unit from alloy USA and wish I had forked over the extra $5 for the one above

Go with a steel cover, the cast cover can crack from running into rocks and out comes the fluid. The steel will dent, but you will retain your fluid.

You can get another stock cover and cut out where the drain plug is and bolt it in front of the one on there now.

Go to Bluetorchfab.com and buy a DIY kit. I'm pretty sure they'll have a kit for your axles. I just bought one to put on my 12 bolt chevy rear end and it was super cheap (like $59).

I guess you could crack anything but i can vouch for the Solid, when I first thought about buying a cover I thought there could not be that big of a difference from to another in terms of metal thickness and so on,this thing I swear is like the hatch on an Army tank.Insanley overbuilt for what I do buy one and fugitabowtit
