Default Determine Lift height???

I recently bought a XJ, the owner stated that it had a 2.5 inch lift. Since we have had it for a few days I keep looking at it thinking that the lift may be higher.

Is there a way to measure to determine the lift height? I need to order some parts and need to know the correct lift height to purchase the correct parts. ie... track bar, rims and tires, new shocks etc. I attached a photo in hopes that it helps.

Thanks in advance

Measure from the top of the axle tubes to the frame rail directly above. Stock height is ~6.75" front and ~6" back. May want to double check those stock numbers though.

Stock is 17 1/2 inch from the center of wheel to fender flare in the front and 17 inch in the rear from center of wheel to fender flare.

But he doesn't have factory flares

Edit: yes he does, I looked closer at the picture. The black really blends in! Haha

I measured from the center of the wheel to the fender flare. The front measures 22 1/2 inches and the rear is 20 1/2 inches. I have a some doubt that it has a 5 inch front lift.

Does it look like a 5 inch lift to anyone? I could be wrong.

If some with a known lift height could measure and compare my numbers to theirs it would be greatly appreciated.

for me, front coils are up country with two stacked 3/4" isolators and the rear is an add a leaf.
i just measured 21.0 from center of hub to bottom of flare, both front and rear.
i have 30.5 inch tires.

so you're probably at like 3 to 3.5 at your measurement?

Try the measurement from the top of the axle to the frame rail. It will either confirm your other measurement or give you the actual height.

After looking at other threads on height, it looks like it is around 4.5.

Do both of thies. Its super easy to do and it doesn't lie.

Stock is 17 1/2 inch from the center of wheel to fender flare in the front and 17 inch in the rear from center of wheel to fender flare.

Measure from the top of the axle tubes to the frame rail directly above. Stock height is ~6.75" front and ~6" back. May want to double check those stock numbers though.

I'm pretty sure that chart is meant to be used to determine adjustable control arms length. You cant adjust the factory ones that much and 4 1/2 looks about right to me in the front, its defiantly higher in the front making it unlevel with the back

That is what I am getting by the measurements. It needs a track bar so I was getting opinions in order to get the correct one. I am going to get the one from BDS. Any opinion on them. I do not mind spending as long as it is quality.
