As for "play," no, there really shouldn't be any significant play. You said you jacked up the front? Last time i encountered DW on my TJ I jacked up the front and the wheels turned with the steering wheel in that situation, but once I set it back down there was a lot of play before the wheels turned.

Issue ended up being where the trackbar mounted to the frame (also JKS trackbar). I couldn't get any of my regular hand tools to crank it down enough, took it to a shop and had them loctite and crank it down HARD with new hardware. No issue since.

But really, those stock arms need to go, too.
My last jeep was sitting at 4.5, this one seems higher but don't how to tell the true amount of lift...had the same issue with trackbar....took it to my buddies shop and they cranked down on it

So i installed iro long arms to hopefully cure my death wobble....can't really test it out yet because i need to find a new rear driveshaft(temporary until i have the money for sye and drive shaft

Sorry to tell you but long arms will likely do nothing to fix your death wobble.

Still had stock control arms after i did the lift....what i did not know was i was supposed to loosen them then set it back on the ground and to readjust their position...bushings were in pretty bad shape. ..so new arms with new bushings should help. ..so tell me what else could it be then....track bar,new and tight. tie rod and ends, new heavy-duty tight. Hub bearings are new

Did you get an alignment? How is the tire balance?

So with the new control arms and disconnects i think the death wobble is finally gone....gonna give it a few more days, retorque everything and see what happens but so far so good
