Default Death wobble!?!?

Hey I just installed a 3in lift myself, I want to know if you get the death wobble if you dont go and get aligned because Today, about 3-4 days after install, I experienced DW at speed of 60+ but go away once I slow to about 45. HELP PLEASE!!! I dont want to spend 70$ for an alignment if its something else. Thanks!

No you have to have an alinement after you put a lift on the toe and camber of the front will be off and will wear the tires and cup them you should only drive about 50 miles after a lift befor alinement. so yes it is nessisary after a lift i would do it as soon as you can

After you do that if you still have a DW you can replace the bushings on the sway bar with new poly ones and if it is still there is is most likely the track bar. after that you get into tie rod ends and ball joints but start small and work your way up because with all of this it will cost some but start with the alinment

Did you put new tires on after you did your lift? If so I would consider tire balance as well. Have you noticed that it gets worse when you hit a bump? Which lift did you get, and did it come with a trac bar drop bracket? At 3 inches a drop bracket isn't really needed, but always nice to have. That being said I personally prefer adjustable over drop, but that's just me.

Be sure to check the track bar bolts! A very commonly overlooked issue, especially if you are using a relocation bracket ( I know from experience )

X2
I had my track bar axle mount bolt come loose while wheeling through the mountains out west. Couldn't tell by looking and shaking everything, only noticed when I had someone turn the wheel, then I saw the bar shift. I tightened it and no more problems, but I still go through my suspension after every outing, that little b**** got me worried.

It was a RC 3in lift with coils and shackles and shocks. It came with a relocation bracket but i read the lift qustions thread and various others that said the bracket is useless, just wait till you go bigger and get an adjustable. At first The DW came only when I hit a bump at high speeds but now its just at High speeds in general but when i slow to 45-50 there gone. I will get an alignmet In a few days and will post back since I work these next few days, thanks for all the answers!

dont no who said the bracket is useless it moves the bar over recentering you front axle ,and if you got a tape measure self alingment can be donehttp://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm

i heard they were bad because its usually bad metal or something and you make your bar more vunerable since its hanging off by a flimsy bracket.... Idk like i said thats what I heard. But if you say its important then I will put it on today once i get home from class!
