Default daystar poly motor mounts not fitting???

I recently tried to install a set of daystar poly motor Mounts and could not get the driver side one to fit in the bracket, on my 98 xj. Has anyone had any experience with this problem? And if so what did you do to fix it?

Thanks in advance

I had to shave the edges on mine to drive it in with a hammer.(bevel the bottom edge is a better way to say it) I used a grinder to do so.

Are you talking about the bracket that you shaved? And how do you like the poly mounts compared to the rubber ones?

My neighbor has poly mounts on his 89 xj, and I have rubber mounts on my 89 xj. You can feel the motor through the entire chassis in his where as on mine its as smooth as its going to get... lol

No. I beveled the bottom edges of the poly itself since it sticks out 1/4"(all the way around) past the daystar mount. Then I was able to tap it all in the frame mount with a rubber mallet. It was just a bit wide but went in after grinding some on the bottom away. I do like them but they did let you know the motor was running ( because of vibrations). After about 10,000 miles they are a bit softer and im more used to it so I dont notice it.

I have a Tranny mount too but haven't installed it yet. But just cut the bottom corners at a 45 or a little less. Then it will tap into place. Its tighter than hell but worked for me. Maybe even grease the cut to help it slide in.
