dana44 and driveshaft lenght

dana44 and driveshaft lenght
about to do a rear dana44 swap but have a couple of more questions
currently have '89 242/Dana35 with 30.5 inch driveshaft installed on my rig with 4.5 inch lift and 1 inch TC drop
i also have another driveshaft laying around from a 01 cherokee that i measured and it was 29 inches
i was told that d44 will need a shorter DS, will the 29" DS be short enuff?
