I definitely appreciate all the help and info!

It turns out, I was absolutely F**** by the guy who sold it to me. He put a piece of crap Detroit E-Z locker in the spartan box and sold that to me. so... I put it up for sale and will just buy an ACTUAL Aussie or Spartan NEW.

Aussie, Spartan, or Detroit EZ Locker.... they all work the same, why not make sure you have all the parts for the EZ Locker and install it right and use it?

And maybe the dude did not know, but I can sympathize with your anger, I bought a Jeep.... guy tried to tell me the front winch bumper was an ARB, it was not (which I figured) then he said it had a Detroit in back and a locker in front of some sort with 4.10 gears, I jacked it up and the rear was locked the front was not - rear ended up being welded, and when I got it home and pulled the covers it had stock 3.55 gears, and the list goes on and on of lies. I purchased the jeep at a good enough deal I won't lose on it.... but I still got SCREWED !!!!!!

They may be very similar, however the Detroit E-Z locker has a VERY POOR reputation for failing and being extremely loud. So it does definitely make a difference. There is a slight possibility that he didnt know, however he has not returned any calls or texts. So... I am left to assume the lie. Yours sounds like a jeep I used to have. Bought a story of a jeep and actually got a heep. Lol.
