Default D44 Disk brake conversion questions

So I just picked up a D44 out of an 89 XJ at the local jy. I'm looking to do the disk brake conversion before I go ahead and swap in under my rig but I have a few questions that maybe some of yall could answer. I've searched but can't seem to find anything that answers these.

1) Is it the same process as the ZJ to XJ swap?
2) Are any extra parts needed?
3) Could the disk brakes from a D44a work on a D44?

Thanks,
Adam
