So I need to cycle my suspension to see how my bumpstops and tire rub is going to play out. As I understand I can remove the front springs to cycle the suspension, but how do I do the rears?
I have hear that you can disassemble the rear leafs down to just the main to test it. Is this true? If so any tips , warnings, or suggestions? Do I run the risk of over-compressing the spring at this point?
I don't have access to an RTI ramp, or even a good slope to do this.

you could do that but you have to be careful. the only way I would do it that way would be to remove the leafs to the main, set the body on jackstands at what woul dbe ride height with the pack assembled. jack up on one axle end at a time. The problem is that it it still going to flex more than witht he whole pack, but you wan tto bump stip it where it is flat anyway.
Find a ditch or just measure it. Measure how much uptravel you can afford and see how long the stops need to be. OR find a fork lift, that's what I used.

here is a nifty/cheap way to bump the rear. it's a piece of 2x2x0.188" square tubing mitered and boxed then welded to the u-bolt retainer plates. Get a progressive bump stop like these, so it doesn't hit as hard on the body mount.

No access to a fork lift, but i did find an old abandoned loading dock. I think I will test her out this weekend. Thanks for the advice.
