Cut a shackle relocator for more flex ?
Just Re-did lift with RE leafs, JKS boomerangs and RC relocators. When I did a flex test on a tiny incline the shackle was flat , maxed out . Thought to cut the relocator ?
The photos are flat ground, the incline , and what it looked like on that incline . No bueno

I more was wondering if anyone else ran into this. Not used to stiff springs as I had stock bastard pack before that inverted when flexed . Wondering if I have right leaf/shackle combo

the shackles are definately on backwards. the shackle looks like it will hit the spring if it flattens out much more. The brace should be on the back side, not the front.
EDIT: i see that they are boomarang shackles, so i guess they are on right, just a bad design flaw on JKS's part...

In my opinion you are really defeating the purpose of the relocation brackets at this point. May as well buy those hinged shackles.
It looks as though you need to move the shackle one hole back.
But if you are just after flex this probably won't help.
This is one of the reasons I like bastard packs. Aftermarket spring packs often are way too stiff for a good off road set up.

I can't believe almost everyone has reccomended to cut it.
Think about it, the shackle is almost flat now when compressed. What is keeping the weight of the vehicle up anymore? It will be like you have zero spring rate until it bottoms out again.
I would move it back a hole and run it.

Good point. There could be a balance issue. However eventually the softer spring will bottom and the stiffer spring still should compress

Bad shackle angle. Just put your shackle in one hole back from where it is now. Or you can change shackles. I noticed you have boomerang shackles. They are on correctly but they arnt designed for those RC brackets. I would not cut anything if it was me. Hope this helps.
