Okay so I'm getting ready to leave this god forbidden country known as Iraq and I have 2 brand new custom Currie Dana 44's sitting at home built to bolt on to my XJ. I was wondering if I could still use XJ lifts or would they have to be custom lifts. I talked to Currie Enterprises and they said that the Dana 44's would be exactly like my Dana 30 and 35. All the mounts would be the same. So I'm figuring that an XJ lift would still work but I would like to know from someone who has possibly done this before. This is my first rig and I'm still learning what can and can't be done. It's really hard to call Currie due to the time difference from here to Cali. It's about a 13 hour time difference. Thanks for the help guys.

Iam just wondering why you went with the currie d44's instead of the currie 9" axles front and rear?

yeah all lifts made for xjs should work. the only thing that might change is the driveshaft lengths. The D44s might be an inch or two longer or shorter and the d30 and d35. im not an expert though. but shocks and springs should work just fine.

THANKS for your service. Hope you come home soon and safe!

I chose the Dana 44 for the fact they were slightly cheaper then the Ford 9". I have a extremely tight budget. Most of my deployment money is already spent on a house and wedding and a child on the way.
I would of definitly goen with the Ford 9" but I couldn't scrounge up the change. Maybe when I swap out the axles on my wifes I'll give her the Dana 44's and get myself the 9".

Yeah I wanted them too. I was talking to Darrell from Currie about them and I told him about my finacial issue and he said that he could put together Dana 44's for about $400 cheaper. I was sold for the fact that my Dana 35 and 30 are pretty much garbage after 21 years. When I bought the Jeep it was pretty jacked up and it's still in the process of becoming issue free.
