Theres no argument wheel spacers are not dot approved plain and simple . Some ones wheel spacer breaks off and causes me or my children harm I taking every thing you and the company that sold them to you for all I can get...unless it states intended for off road use only when advertised . Reliable suppliers state this with there products when selling them to cover them selves then it becomes purchaser issue.

Sorry for posting a dumb thread. I've never seen cracks like this before. I pulled off my spacers because I didn't want to take a chance it'd break. Just thought I'd ask if anybody else had trouble before. My bad.

Not at all a dumb thread. Made dumb by people turning it into a DOT approved spacer debate. Good call on pulling them off. Do you recall the eBay seller you bought them from?

Got to love the forums. Spacers are dangerous, blocks are dangerous, stock track bar and steering is dangerous.

But big lift and tires rule!

LMAO

Rarely do we ever install spacers on an off road only vehicle. They are always installed on street vehicles.

Not one failure that I know of out of hundreds

Did you know DOT is a complete joke, and scam. Many states do not follow DOT. But if it makes you feel safe then good for you.

Just because something is not DOT does not mean its any more unreliable than DOT approved. It means the manufacturer did not want to pay the huge fee to be DOT approved.

Personal experience- 2 years running 2" eBay spacers with 31x10.50's, 15k miles and some hard wheeling. No issues.

Agreed good idea on removing spacers I would deff see if the manufacturing company can compensate you on them.
