As the title states, Im prepping to do an overhaul on my cooling system; new 3row rad, water pump, the works, etc.. Ive gotten the second and final call from my little sister that the Jeep is starting to overheat. (Luckily, though newly 16, Ive trained her and shes a viable gearhead-in-training and handles any hiccups properly).
Parts I have at the house:
Radiator
Water pump
180 t-stat
New t-stat housing tapped for new water temp gauge
New resivior tank
New rad cap
After work Im getting new upper & lower rad hoses and the line to the overflow tank. Since I dont have it here to look at, are there any other hoses or parts I will need? By the time I get to my parents place and get the heep all the shops will be closed up.
EDIT:
My whole cooling system was shot. Brown, rust filled water ran ramped in my system. Figured Id make my comprehensive list for future reference for the collective benefit:
3 Row, all metal rad- Radiatorbarn.com
HESCO High Flow Water Pump- Hesco.us
HESCO High Flow Thermostat Housing- Hesco.us (Got this because my stock one was lined in rust, plus the one I got was tapped for an aftermarket water temp sensor)
Thermostat; 180 for the summer/wheeling-195 for the winter- Any auto parts store (NAPA; O'Reillys)
Radiator Cap- Auto parts store
Reservoir Tank- Summitracing.com
Upper and lower radiator lines; heater core sending and return line; overflow/reservoir line- Auto parts store
Water Pump Coolant Tube- I got mine from the stealership for about $20, Madtdy was nice enough to find it on Quadratec.com for 12.99
On the work schedule, Heater core

New heater hoses, they are different sizes and the metal pipe that comes off the block by the thermastat hosing and the good antifreeze not the dextron stuff.

Heres something I forgot. on my water pump for the heater return line theres some sort of metal section between the rubber hosing and the water pump. I NEED THAT PIECE of metal tubing!! Where do I get it? Whats it called? Google cant help me find it! But then again I hate using google
Anyone know the name of this piece and where to get it??

After searching and searching I had to go to the stealership and purchase it. If I recall, it was like $20 bucks? When I get home tonight Ill check and see if I still have the P/N written down
I see you mentioned putting a 3 row rad. In for replacement. I am in the process of finding a replacement for my 2000 Cherokee. Just curious what brand you bought and where from.

Yep thats it. I cant believe it was on Quadratec, but I shoulda known though. But yea ended up going to the dealer paid like 20 bucks.
PITA part though, my DA self put the pump on before I put that tube on  had to take the pump (and PULLEY
) back off to put it on...(so note to self; install and align before installing pump.)

Check your freeze out plugs too. I just went through my cooling system a couple months ago and had everything doing fine. Then I started losing coolant. Didn't need a pressure test or anything else to see the coolant running down the side of the block. 4 out of the 5 plugs on the block were leaking. I changed all 5. A couple were so thin that when I scraped across them the screw driver went right through without any pressure on them. Of course you have to pull your intake and exhaust off to get to them.
