coils......
im gonna be buying some coil springs soon.. im looking at the rustys 3 inch coils... whats the difference between the HD ones and the regular one...? thier both 99 bucks. before i get yelled at for not putting this in the lift thread... thats alot to follow and this just seems a litllte easier. ill delet this when someone helps me out! thanks!

The HD coils are a higher spring rate. Designed to compensate for an aftermarket bumper and winch. If you are going to install that much extra weight in the front, it's not a bad idea. I have those coils and they are pretty good.
I would also check Serious Offroad, he has great prices on RE coils if you want to go another route.

Sorry Travis, not to jack but would i need to get a heavier spring rate coil for just a basic bumper with reciever hitch and D rings.
thinking about this one from jcr. non winch dyi. i've got IRO 3" coils with .75 and stock spacers.

Basically, anything heavier than the stock bumper is going to require the higher spring rate or the front is going to sag.

I have the HD springs and like them. I do not have a offroad bumper or winch yet but the spring ride great. i don't notice a difference from stock realy.
