Coil Spring hitting guide tower

In the process of installing RC 3” lift with LCA. After installing the coil springs and lowering off the lift, I noticed the spring was laying against the tower. The springs are seated properly at the top and bottom. Any suggestions?

You need longer links and less camber

My Rough Country springs did the exact same thing.

Here's what I did. 1) Get your axle centered under the vehicle by adjusting your track bar. My XJ was about 7/8" offset toward the passenger side. If you got an adjustable track bar when you bought the lift kit this is fairly simple, just a little time consuming. 2) Once centered, with the jeep on the ground setting on it own weight, loosen off all the control arm bolts both sides. Get in and start the XJ, and gently rock the truck back and forth with very light brake pressure. I was aiming to mock the suspension settling into normal operating position. 3) With the vehicle weight still on the suspension, get under the jeep and torque all the control arm bolts back to specifications.

Worked for me. I had torqued all my bolts with the axle off the ground thus preloading the axle and it did not want to settle into the correct position and axle offset had the tower offset closer to the spring causing it to touch.

I don't know if it will work for you but....don't cost anything to try. What 4.3LXJ said is correct and the process I used simulates both, hopefully without throwing new parts at it.

Let us know if this works out.

Once you get the Jeep back on the ground with the weight on it you will be fine.
