chry 8.25 diff cover: solidaxle vs. Blue torch fab kryptonite
I'm upgrading my diff cover on my 29 spline 8.25. I'm torn between the solid axle industries cover or the blue torch fab kryptonite cover. I can get either or for a good price. So I'm interested in people's experience with either of these.
I looked into other covers and guards. And i would prefer a full cover. But I'm just not willing to spend $180 bucks on a arb or crane cover.
I originally was planing to cut a extra stock cover into a guard but all the yards around here are adding insanely expensive fluid fees on to the price the cover. So I decided to pass on paying $100 for a rusty old used stock cover.

you will be fine with either, but for the sake of argument, the btf will be stronger. There are rare instances where i have heard a friend of a friend on the internet where a solid cover cracked or exploded.
never seen any proof however, and would like to.

The ruff stuff one looks great too.
The only reason the solid axle industries one is in the mix is because it is on sale for $65 right now as opposed to the normal 125. I prefer the look of the ruff stuff and kryptonite covers. I know all any of them are better then the stock one. Just having a hard time making up my mind.

just get a solid diff cover. like ktm said, you very rarely hear of anyone breaking one. i really don't think you'll be putting your diff through enough to break a solid diff cover, especially since its the rear diff

I got the Riddler. It's thick nodular iron, very tough. Only problem it rusts very easily, but the rust can be wiped/brushed off easily. Got it for $110 with mil discount.

I ended up getting the rough stuff one. I found a deal on it.
The solid one is the best bang for the buck at the moment. They are like 50% off. I just prefer the look of the other ones more. Since they are all pretty strong.

I got a ruff stuff a while back, very nice. They had gotten delayed on the one I wanted and sent me the one with flush cover bolts so a thumbs up to them!
