Hey Everyone i was wondering if there would be any complications taking an engine out of a 96 jeep cherokee and putting it in a 2000 jeep cherokee body?

Alright I have decided to take a motor out of 1993 jeep cherokee and put it in a 2000 jeep cherokee. I was wondering if there would be any mounting differences and wiring differences?

I have a 2000 engine in my 93, it will bolt right up, the problem I had was I didn't swap the flywheel and they are different because of the crank pos sensor. I also used the p/s pump from the 2000 because I liked the belt tensioner on it better than the 93. I kept the 2000 intake manifold but used all the electronics from the 93 including injectors. Good luck.
