Champion Aluminum Radiator. Quality? Fitment?
It's winter time and my XJ is leaking on the sides of the plastic one. So I'd like to get it fixed before there's a big storm. The only two ones I heard of is Champion and CSF. If anyone has experience with these, I'd like to know how they've held up and the fitment.

Just wondering. I recently redid my cooling system. Original radiator had a split in one side. It had 160k on it so I just went with one like. The OEM cooling systems on these XJ's will take anything you throw at them as long as they are in top condition.

I've been through 3 Champions and 2 CFS radiators. They are China/India made with 0 quality control...All leaked at the tank in less than 6 months. Spoke with Novak regarding their build in house radiator. They said they were forced to produce their own 100% biuld in house radiator for the same exact reasons I stated. They said they had so many returns on their foreign made rads that the company no longer wanted to warranty them. Been running there's for about a year, no issues at all. You get what you pay for.

GLAD you replied. Don't remember reading of anyone who has had good results with other than OEM or OEM style radiators.
Right now you can get a Spectrum Premium for $82.39 to you door.

Had a custom all aluminum single core (large) radiator built by a buddy's race shop for mine. Temps have dropped by 10 degrees for me. Never makes it to halfway up the gauge, even at idle.

10 degrees cooler? Is that ok? Reason I ask is since I redid the cooling system maybe a month ago my gauge reads half way between the first hash mark and 210. Drops to a bit above the hash mark at times. It will climb a hair above half if pulling a 3 mile 5% grade. It's never touched 210 since the redo. Before the redo the gauge would get to 210 but no more and was normally just above the first hash mark. Seems if it's running some amount of degrees cooler. I'll get an infared tool soon as I get to HF.
