Have an old cobra cb radio I’m thinking about installing on the xj. Looking for ideas of mounting options for both radio and antenna.

would like to see if anyone has modified thier dash, cubby or ash tray to fit thier radio. Or anything really. Like the look of a roof mount antenna but not too fond of putting a whole in the roof.

You could get something like a k40 or lil wil mag mount on the roof. Anything else would be a compromise on SWR and propagation with the body blocking some of the signal.
