Im assuming you are not trying to be hostile by telling me "I should not give advice on something". But this is a open forum and I can say what I want right? Even if its wrong... So wouldnt you rather argue with me about our diffrent point of views? Im not trying to be a a--hole, but come on Marty dont tell me I cant post my own views...
I never said that, nobody is argueing. I'm sharing what I have done and know. There are problems with bigger cams which can be avoided especially with EFI.

So you put in a 'smaller' cam to move the powerband lower?

True. EFI motors are sensitive on the duration specs.

Negative. The powerband is dependant on the specs of each cam.

Understood. Once again not trying to cause any problems just wanted to clear the air.

True. Porting anything doesn't help unless you're at higher RPMs. If you're a Mudbogger then that would help. For DDs and trail rigs, you want low end power.

Cam selection is based upon engine usage. I.E. I bored and stroked my 258 block to 300cid. The cam is designed by me. I didn't really increase the lift but rather the duration to compensate for the larger bore size. So I get a smooth idle and the engine operates like a stock motor would. Im pushing what a 4.7 would but without having to overrev or redline the motor. There are a lot of professional engine building simulators/programs out there that allow you to "assemble" an engine to "test" your combination of chosen parts. Try using one such as Engine Dyno or Dyno Pro 2000.

You are still stuck with the long runer intake and poor flowing head but you will definately see a difference.
Don't mean to jack this thread!!, I was just browsing. But where or who can you get an ecu tune from? Do you mean a chip? Thanks
