Anyone have these flat fenders Installed know how much approx. additional clearance these flares give you. My 4" Fabtech kit fits 31x10.50's just fine but I recently changed to 255/75/17's on stock JK wheels and they rub constantly at pretty much any flexing of the suspension. Does anyone know if the Bushwacker flat flares will give enough room? I don't really want to lift it anymore because I'm afraid I'll need a SYE kit! HELP! :-)

Do you still have factory flares on? I have been running 255/75/17 BFG mud-terrains on my cherokee pre/post lift. On a 4.5inch rough country lift now with no flares and have plenty of clearance. I'm pretty sure that tire size equals up to close to a 32" tire.

What are the tires rubbing on? I think that the Moabs have a lot of backspacing so you might be better off getting some wheel spacers instead. You can also turn the steering stops out on the front axle to limit the steering and keep the tires out of the control arms better.

No sir, I removed the end caps on the front and rear bumpers and took off the fender flares and mounting hardware. Most of that I did before my lift though.

Yeah I haven't measured the backspacing, they are the stock JK wheels and I know they are pretty deep. Funny my front stock flare was loose and fell off yesterday and that front tire still rubs, has to be hitting the stock front bumper end cap, I'm going to either trim it or just get the Bushwacker flat fenders, sounds like they will give me plenty of room. I'm not against lifting it more and doing a SYE just don't want to throw down the extra cash for the new rear drive shaft and SYE kit at this time.

The flat style fender flares require some cutting, but not as much as the pocket style flares by BushWhacker. I'm running the flares with long arms and 33's and I have no rub. What control arms do you have? If they're adjustable you might be able to move your axle forward about an inch- I bet you're mainly rubbing on the back of your wheel well.
