bumper fitting 97+

hey guys do you think this bumper will fit a 97 plus cherokee? i thought the mounting was the same?

The area under the tail lights is different between 97-up and 96-down. The other issue is the 96-down has a wider tailgate, so with the way it looks around the taillights, it will hit you 97-up tailgate.

I bent the corner of the hatch (about a inch triangle) to use a 93 bumper. Other than that it bolted right on.

If your using a stock bumper fine...but if your spending that much money I'd certainly hope you don't want to have to bash/bend your hatch to make it fit...So I say buy one from these guys:
