Budget boost for 3in lift possible?
Hi, I am the new owner of a 2000 Cherokee sport w/ 4wd and the 4.0. My Cherokee currently has a 3in skyjacker lift (with short arms) and 31in tires. I would like to budget boost it to 5 inches of lift; Is this possible? I'm not the best mechanically inclined so dont destroy me lol. If BB is possible, I will be installing a SYE as well. My rear axle is a D35 with 3.55 gears.

In a single word NO it is not a budget one at all going to that height a lot of extra parts are required to do it properly the lift is the cheap part. I increased my lift height from 3" to 4 1/2" and when I had finished the cost not including tires/wheels but did include new gears/lockers was in the $4K range.
Do a search here for all the required items you will need from shocks to track bars, Adj. U/LCA's, SYE/driveshaft, brake lines, etc. and you may want to upgrade from the D35 at this time to a Chy. 8.25 29 spline.

You can get procomp 3" coils from summit racing for $80 rear 2" lift shackles from eBay for $25 and shackle relocation brackets for around $120 from a few company's. Then just get some JK shocks and your good to go. If you get vibes you can get degree shims for about $20 to fix that.
