Default Budget boost?

I wanna do a budget boost on my 96 xj

Is all I need two poly spacers and two shackles? And could I do this with the stock car jack the jeep came with?

No.
The poly spacers must be installed above the coil, that means the axle must be lowered enough to remove the coils.

You may want to get or borrow a better jack. A good floor jack would be nice, just make sure it lifts high enough. Jack stands are a must!

Eventually you'll want new shocks that are longer/have more travel.

You can also bend straight and relocate your front brake hard lines. I can take a pic of mine if needed.

Depending on how much money you have you could look into an adjustable trac bar. But thats not necessary til around 3" lift.

If you do shakles in the rear you may want to eventually get shakle relocation brackets. This can be done later after you've saved more money, you'll just be doing some of your work twice.

Your ride quality will stiffen up, and depending on what you like in a vehicle you may notice it.

But its a Jeep, you may not care at all.

If you don't mind some pictures would be great! And how much would a jack and stand cost me?

Got a Harbor Freight near you? Good place to get stands.

I got a pair for less than $30.

2 inches should allow you 31" tires. If not, you can fit 30x9.5's. I have 33's with a 3 inch

Well, technically, you could fit some pretty big tires on there; it would just require some serious trimming. If you want to keep your stock fender flares, you might be able to fit some 31"s in there.

I recommend the 6 ton stands from HF. It's worth an extra $20 when you're putting 2000 lbs above your head.

I'm planning on doing the same to my 2000 XJ. I cant spend a ton of money on the lift so plan on doing the spacer/shackle lift. Anyone have links to a quality set for cheap? I'd appreciate it.

Sorry I been away for awhile. Life gets busy, hope you understand.

I'll get a pic of the brake lines really soon.

And seems like you got everything else covered! Haha well done!

Here is a pic of my (really really dirty and rusty) passenger side front brake line and where its remounted.

Once you have a chance you'll want to look into shakle relocation brackets. Right around $125 ish is ballpark.

Most folks end up having a vertical shakle, or the shakle contacts the body in some spot. Usually the vertical shakle. If it ends up like that, you'll have a rough ride and that can wear your springs earlier than normal. You want the bottom eye of the shakle to point to the rear at a 45* angle, ideally anyway.
