I did the same thing and it was flush with the frame so i ended up just drillin one hole next to it and just using a tap to make threads on the new hole and relying on the other 3 stock holes for the mail structural integrity. It has worked well.

Just saying by the time you deal with something like that a sye would have been easier or even a hnt. Especially of you have to but tools to drill and tap the crossmember again

If it is protruding at all grind a slot in it and use a hammer driver to loosin it or the dreaded drill and tap lol or you could drill a hole in the middle of it and get a reverse thread screws and pull it out that way.

I tried the screw extractor thing on one of mine and ended up breaking it off in the hole. Then couldn't drill through that hardened steel -.- Ended up drilling a new hole next to it and tapping that hole. Not recommended but I was desperate. So if u try one just be cautious. Good luck!

We fix them at the shop all the time. And it all depends on where the bolt is broke off as in how much of it is broken in. And it's normally only a 20min job with the right tools. Cornwell all the way haha lol and it depends how busy we are the slower we are the cheaper it is lol

Dam then I think you ether were doing something wrong or had some cheap tool. I have only broken a few but that's cause they get used and abused a lot lol
