Default Brakes popping sound

I bought a 00 jeep cherokee with a 4.5 in lift off craigslist the other day and I have been hearing like a pooping sound. the sound only happens when I brake for the first 1-2 times after starting the car. Have any ideas of what it could be? thanks!

Pull the caliper an check the bolts that hold the camper to the axle and be sure the brake pads are secure with those dumb little clips. For the rear I'd make sure the springs are still on the pads
