brake line relocation question

Default brake line relocation question

okay so i bought a 4.5" rc lift and for the rear brake line there was a relocation braket. i dont get how im supposed to put this on? like the line isnt long enough to fit in the new piece with the clip on it. anyone have a solution or know how to fix this problem?

Pretty simple, just remove your old clip, put the new clip on the frame rail and then put the brake line into that. All its gonna do is allow your line to hang down a little lower.

so its the rubber line it self that the bracket it holds not the same place as original?

You're gonna use the new bracket to pysically lower the existing e bracket. Mount the new bracket, then the old e bracket mounts to that. Ya digg?

Lol hate to be a pain in your *** but nah, i dont understand the metal line isnt long enought to reach back into the new bracket to put the clip on? i even bent the metal line straight and still not long enough.. got pics?

I didn't use a bracket lol I just went to the parts store and bought a wrangler soft line for the rear. It's like $15.

Post up a pic of what you're working with and ill try to help you through it. The pic on the instructions is garbage. RC really dropped the ball on that one

Also was the rear break like a bolt on or what? i would be intrested in doing that instead of this relocation bs..

Yeah man, just hit up your local parts store and get a rear soft line for a YJ. They are like 3 or 4 inches longer, but have the same fittings.
