I was swapping my old rear end out. while I was doing that I broke the break line in half. The brake line that is broken goes. From a split in the rear end up through the unibody rail. up into the master cylinder.
I asked auto-zone to look it up. They told me they could not. What is the information that I need to tell them about the line so I can get a replacement ordered. I believe the line is 3/16 but I do not know the fitting size.

All of those fittings are 3/8-24.

However, some vary on the master cylinder itself so be careful there.

Sounds like a sell out, but I went to the dealer for my new brake lines. I'm swapping out my 35 with an 8.25. I wanted OEM lines.

FYI, even the dealership is starting to have troubled getting some parts for our XJ's.
