Default blowout, now what? need a little help w/ wheels/tires

Ok, I coulda done a search, yada yada, so shoot me. I'm a little ticked because I just got my SYE done yesterday and can finally really enjoy the jeep, and today I had a tire blowout.

Anyways, all my tires are pretty worn and one has a bubble so I want to switch everything out. I have the stock steel rims on my 98' and they rub my lca's with 3" lift, I currently have 31x10.5s

I want to stay with the 31s and 15" rims, probably go with some black cragars, I've had them twice before an can't beat the look for the price.

Anyway, my question is, what backspacing do I need? 4"? Any good package deals out there? I'm thinking BFG MTs. I've had the atko's before but I want a more aggressive look... not worried about noise on hwy. I'm on a tight budget too, my Jeep actually might be laid up for a while untill I get enough cash. I have another tire lying around, but I don't want to run a different size.

4" of BS should be plenty for 31" tires.
I recommend Firestone Destination M/Ts for the tire - terrific treadwear and traction, and they look sexy

Yeah I was out a couple weekends ago and I was loosin traction all over the place. Granted I was in snow and ice but it was scary bad. It was time for new ones and I got some dry rot and a bubble so I'm lucky it didn't fail on the hwy or offroad, I'm just bummed cause it's outta commission for a couple weeks. I figure I might as well fix the wheel issue at the same time so even with $200 for rims and cheap tires at $140 each I'm still lookin at close to a G by the time it's all said and done.... sucks. Hopin to find a deal out there but nothing yet.

I'm kinda liking the AR Teflon rims too... they can chip but it's a nice look and easy cleanup. I could sware that I see wheel/tire combo packages in every magazine, etc. until of course I need it and now my searches are coming up empty...

anyone know of any good package deals out there? If they could show up mounted and balanced to my door and I just have to throw them on, I'd be thrilled.

Goodyears do seem to be the cheapest and that's what I have now, and they look good, but after seeing the Firestones, I can't get em outta my head, they look awesome and seem to get good reviews. Despite that whenever you say firestone now people cringe and think of blowouts. We'll see.... what kind of backspacing are you running? I'd really like to hear what is working from people.

I'm not sure what I currently have on my stock steelies (15x7) but I think most of the aftermarket rims are 15x8 and I hear 4" is plenty, what about 3.75 or 4.25, some rims seem to only have those options. Anybody run cragar soft 8s? I had slight clearance issues (caliper) with them on my other jeep, don't think it'll be a problem here but just wondering.
