also - it is possible for shocks to fail and not leak. next time you help someone change some find an old one with no visible leaking and compress it - it will not return to its original shape and leak nothing while doing it. but given your ultra shock knowledge i'm assuming you already know this.
well if you feel like proving it send the video to bilstein not me, their "lifetime warranty" does protect against manufacture defect if you haven't been offroad (which you haven't). yeah shocks go bad but not 5100's after 15k miles on road only I'd be pissed too

I mean its not like I own stock in bilstein I'm just baffled at the level of complaints about a decent shock for the price. the gabriels SUCK. I ran those before I could afford the 'steins and I wouldn't wish that ride quality on anyone (but at least they are free replacement no questions asked).

Guess mine should be perfect then @ < 2 yrs & < 6000 miles....yes, I drive less than 3k per year in the cherokee.......hard to drive more when round trip to work is 5 miles.

Not sure what the problem is....you like them....I think we all get that....but just because YOU do, doesn't mean everyone else in the world does.

Guy's, you've highjacked the OP's thread. We all make our choices and have to live with the consequences.

OP, any update?

Reallllly not happy with the Zone shocks, had em for about 6 months now. Super firm and not a pleasant ride. Rear leafs have an extended shackle and are currently at the proper 45 degree angle, front coils might be a little firmer than usual but something is up. Thinking shocks.

I hear nothing but good things about Bilstein, just wondering if the 5100s would be a proper match on my particular setup.

Thanks in advance,

OP, question. Full leafs or AAL. Any additional weight like bumpers, skid plates etc. Your issue may not be shocks alone. I loved my zone nitros. My set up though was an AAL on used leafs. The nitros evened it out and road smooth. That is until the leafs wore out and then it went against he shocks and made them.work harder. I'm also running their coils.
