Just i stalled my IRO 3" lift yesterday and man does my rig look awesome now.

However I have a problem and left the rear shocks off for now because I cannot get the bushing of the shock (bottom) to go onto the bolt on the xj ... it appears the bushing sleeve on the bilstein shock is about 2mm too small to slide onto the stock mounting bolt on the jeep.
Ive searched the web but cant find anything. How do you get the bushing on? Or do I have to remove the bushing sleeve inside?
Please help...im all done but with no rear shocks

There should be no bushing sleeve on the bottom of the rear shocks. My Bilsteins came with the sleeves but not installed. Just pop it out.

Enjoy you new lift!

Use your old bushing sleeve, it should be just like how the rubi shocks have to be installed ish, pop out the sleeve of your old shocks(if you have them) then press them into the new shocks. If not just run without(not the best option but can be done)

Yeah there is no sleeve that I know of. Only the rubber bushing. Use some sandpaper to smooth out the mount, clean it off, put some grease on it, and pop her on there. It should be tight on there. You want it tight.

That's what I'm saying.

The rear lower shock bushing should ride directly on the shock stud, no spacer.

I got my shocks from 4x4 group buy. They have put the spacer sleeve inside the bushing and it is stuck in there!!!
Why would they have done that?

No clue. The world is riddled with morons, ha.

You should be able to get it out, or call around a few auto garages close by and see if they can press it out for $1 or something. Even a bike shop might be able to, ha ha. I worked on a dog's wheel chair at the bike shop once.

If for some crazy reason they glued the sleeve in and you can't get it out, just buy new lower poly bushings. They're cheap.
