My rear shocks are shot on my XJ, I installed 2" Old Man Emu Heavy Duty Leaf Springs last summer and want to match up the best shock to these hefty springs. I was planning on going with monroe magnums since they are essentially the same as OME nitro shocks, but I just wanted to hear some other opinions.
This is my daily driver, it sees moderate trail use, but nothing crazy (no rock crawling), and I do a bit of towing in the summer time. I'm looking for good on road performance with decent off road performance as well.

IF you have the coin, I recommend Bilstein 51xx or better. IF not, you can get RC 8000/9000 shocks on the cheap. Otherwise, pick up some JK Rubicon Take-off's, god for up to 4" lift.

OME Nitrocharger Sports FTW!!! They are a little more, ~$95/shock, but they are built to compliment your packs. You won't be dissapointed, I wasn't.
FYI, they might be "essentially" the same but they are built to OME specs.
