Just mounted my radio and antenna , looking for advcse on best ground . Do I have to ground to battery ? Can I use visor clip screw if I grind down paint? Also I hear mixed opinions on grounding antenna or not ? Thanks

 

Measure the resistance from the screw part of your coax to the negative on your battery. If it has resistance, ground it to the chassis. Do you have a SWR meter?

It's some cheap truck stop mount that works great, I dont think its grounded at all but works fantastic
