Default best camshaft lift/duration/seperation

so ive searched around a bit. havent found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow yet.

as far as cams go for the 4.0. im looking at summit racing and their huge selection of cams.

http://www.summitracing.com/search/B...?Ns=Rank%7CAsc

i read a bit about them. it seems only certain ones can be used with fuel injection (read on comp cams website) does anybody know the limit and what has been the best mid range torque producing combination? im looking at doing pacesetter headers and a new 2.5 inch exhaust soon. while im at it i would like to do the camshaft and valve springs for more lift and power. its not my dd so im not worried about a rough idle or poor gas mileage. just want a lopy idle and more torque.

so does anybody know the best lift, duration, and lobe seperation for a cam?

Non stock cams are a problem. Either they won't work with the ECU or they have too much lift or heavy springs and flatten the cam lobes. For a little bit more $ than a cam and a whole lot easier install, I would get a set of Yella Terra roller rockers 1.7 ratio. These will add lift and performance that you are looking for and work with the stock cam, lifters and springs. Then just get the engine/ecu tuned.

Levittown- should see you in the neighborhood. We can get together and I'll let you try our supercharged XJ. Talk about the best mid range torque.

X2, a higher ratio rocker would be a lot easier and most likely give you the performance you're looking for without having to remove the front of the Jeep and cylinder head for a cam swap.

they also have a spring and lifter kit .

check emm out.

anyone know what kind of power and torq. can be expected with a cam,t-body and full exhaust?

or just the power from installing the cam.

Yea man. I actually am trying to get a supercharger off a 3.8l from my friend. that was my plan but I also would like to complement it with a cam...or as you say just some lifters. I also heard that advancing the camshaft tunes it more for low end torque. Definitely would like to meet up and see what this supercharger is all about.
