Bent Control Arms.
Hi First post, tried using the search function and couldn't find anything.
Recently bought a 1995 Cherokee with a 8 1/2 lift and noticed the threads on the adjustable lower control arms are bent. What would be the best way to straighten them with out breaking them? The second picture shows one of them, both are bent about the same. Thanks in advance!

Holy crap 8.5" of lift on short arms!! You really should go long arms. You probably won't be able to straighten those either. You are better off replacing them and installing proper control arms.
The person that put that lift on doesn't seem to have done their research.

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter
They use Clevite bushings at the axle end, just like most other brands. Older kits may have had crap Chinese bushings, but mine said Clevite right on them.

My friend you need to take that to a 4wd shop to inspect the whole thing. Who ever did that lift knew nothing about what they were doing period. There is no telling what else may be screwed up on it, just seeing that speaks volumes about the builders skills or lack there of.
For your safety have it inspected by someone who knows 4x4's and proper lifts. AND PARK that thing NOW!

Wow, that's going to kill someone, not good man. So are you staying with that lift?
Long-arms is the correct option and that's only the start.
Because the previous did a cheat and it's been done wrong, what else needs fixing....there is heaps of good info on this forum and the knowledge available from it's member's will be invaluable.
Don't ever think any question is to dumb because we all had to start at the beginning learning about the does'n'don'ts on our XJ's LoL....Have a look at the build threads, there's Sh¥t loads of great info.
