IIRC if you unbolt the push pin that turns the dome lights and that chime on and off, you can unplug it and it will result in never turning on the dome lights or chime. If I am remembering right, the switch is an interrupt type and results in an open signal when pressed (door closed). If you unplug it, it should do what you are looking for.

Eventually this summer yes. Going to have to deal with the power windows and such then also. But for now when I need the drivers door open and have my music on or something like that. The beeping drives me nuts.

Then, like others have said.. pull the plug in the door. Your interior light won't work automatically, though... I put in a switch to combat that and in the process put the switch in a place where my passenger could reach it. More convenient for all involved.

Yours should only have a chime when the door is open and the keys are in the ignition or the lights are on. I believe it's actually a buzzer, but I honestly can't remember because I removed mine this summer.
