Hello all once again i have a question about my xj, when hitting bumps especially at highway speeds it feels as if the transmission and transfer case are going to come through the floor, i recently replaced my transfer case and had the crossmember out as well as the transmission mount, it seemed ok but maybe its bad? also it does this clunking which i can feel the trans and transfer moving around when i am coming to a stop or going faster than 3 mph in reverse, curious as to any input. thanks

 

Check the mount. If it got over tightened, it could have broken the studs free inside the mount. It can look good from the outside and be wasted inside.

 

yea thats what im leaning towards is the tranny mound, and for 35 bucks im going to just replace it and see what happens.
