Backspacing

Backspacing
Can someone tell me if I am measuring the backspacing of my wheel correctly? I am coming up with 3.5" but I have yet to find a 15x8 D window wheel with 3.5" backspacing. Should I be measuring to the outer most lip of the wheel?
