back seat replacement to fold down flat?
hey team, just trying to figure out if anybody has heard of a way to make it so a 94 or so xj back seat folds all the way forward for a flat surface?
is that something you can change to a different seat, or I'm not beyond hacking stuff up if it is functional and not too much less comfortable.
I want to be able to go camping and sleep in the back, at the moment, the back seat stays in the way.

It folds down flat stock.. Move the front seats up a click or two from all the way back and the bottom will fold forward and the top will fold down flat. If you dont like the seat bottom there, Pull the lever on the right mount and pull it out. Takes all of 5 seconds.

thanks fellas. I suppose I was over-thinking that one. haha. for some reason I thought I read somewhere that it wasn't easy or something.
I'm definitely gonna use that filler idea, being 6"3 I imagine a few extra inches wouldn't hurt!

also on the older style xjs, idk about the new ones, but you can take the seat bottom out completely for a few extra inches so the front seat doesnt have to be moved forward, and then fold down the back flat.

Forgot to add that using the filler requires the seat bottom to be removed. I wheel with it in place but carry a drum liner (trash bag) to keep the weather off it and stack it on the roof while sleeping.
The filler itself is four 2x8 legs cut to fit my specific floor mats and a 1x deck. I routed a groove into the 2x8s to hold the screws. I stack them under my cooler in the back. The longer 1x section fits diagonally along the top of the spare inside.
If you want to see them, I have some more pics of me fully loaded for wheeling somewhere.
