I never use high range off rd.

Have you ever taken a physics course ever in your life...

Go Jump on a 10 speed bike, put it in the highest gear, and try to go somewhere....

It's all about getting the engine at the right RPM needed for the condition you are in.

If you have to take a class on physics, then I doubt you will ever truly understand it.

Why would I wheel in OD high range?

Mass has a lot to do with it. You have to consider everything if you want optimal performance. Not just rpm and power bands.

If I wanted the average tank crawling around on c rated trails. It would be very easy to add a ton of weight and gear it for slow. After I upgraded the axles of course to carry my tank around. Fortunately the xj is light to begin with. So the difficult part is just not adding a bunch of crap I don't really need.

Not that there is anything wrong with tanks. It's just not the route I choose to go.

You put 125lb wheel/tire combo on there. that's about tank status.

Yea I know, trust me, I hate it more than anyone. But it looks cool! LMAO.

Traction and no worries about blowing a bead. I do have a friend who is fabing me up an aluminum set. But they are several months out.

As long as you are not setting up my gearing mr physics, I am happy!

Mr Newton. That is where my phrase about physics came from.

And you are right about my tank. But people seem so intrested in telling me what I can't do with it, it makes for great debates. LOL
