The TRANSCO shift kit is very detailed and comes with all that is required and more. Cost is fairly cheap at about 130 bucks. If you have time (did mine in three nights after work) you may modify to 4 different levels of shift, from mallcrawler to flat out 1/4 mile racer. The detail comes when figuring out which valve body you have... there are four different ones with no way of knowing without dropping the pan. While in there, I drilled and welded a threaded bung to the transmission pan and added a transmission temp. indicator in the overhead console. The final result is very noticeable as each gear holds to a higher RPM before shifting and the shift itself is firm and quick. No issues with heating during daily drive but man, when offroad wheelin' the temperature climbs very quickly to over 200 degrees. Living in the desert, I re-routed the trans cooler line out of the radiator and the tranny stays cooler longer.

Might be astupid question but would you need to replace the filter inside the transmission still?
I know an old post, but I used a Derale promote cooler. Mounted it on my hood under the aftermarket hood louvers. It works perfect!

Transgo shift it is worth it to up line pressure reduce slipping and decrease overall transmission heat.

If your pretty savvy rebuilt parts arent to spendy. Fresh seals fibers and steels easy axessable.
