Default Attaching a plow on a cherokee?

I have a plow set up for the old CJ jeeps.I would like to customize it to fit my cherokee. has anyone done this and how hard is it to do. I also did some searching and cant find anything on attaching a plow set up on a cherokee body. Does anyone recall any threads regarding installing a plow set up onto a cherokee.

better brace the holy hell out of the unibody. that being said there are plenty of kits for the comanche which is the same front end so it should work

I would not recommend it, on anything short of a boxed frame 3/4 ton truck a snowplow will trash a frame, think of a unibody like an XJ.

Enough bracing kits are available to make something work.

Are the polymer blades lighter than all steel?

Are kits made?

Back in 89' when my old man bought the first family XJ off the showroom floor, it was an option from the Jeep dealership. And he had them install it on ours. Plowed our old 1/4" mile driveway for 8 years.

We have an old 82' cj8 scrambler and it seems to be having all kinds of problems So we were planning on putting it on my cherokee because if our plow breaks down we are screwed. We would only use it to plow our drive and some of our close friends. I have been doing some reasearch and there are potential problems but they dont appear to be all that common on jeeps that do only a small amount of plowing.

i don't know of any kits, but i do agree brace the unibody quite heavely. ramming 1000 lbs of snow over an over is tough on a rig.

i'm guessing the cost for a conversion might even be close to just buying a beater to mount the plow onto.
