Default Anyone Running RE 5.5" Lift On There XJ?

Anyone running there XJ with a Rubicon Express 5.5" lift? How do you like it? What tire size are you running? I need to know what size I can run before cutting. Any weak points? Picture would be awesome! Thanks!

You can run 33x12.5 with a little rubbing. With spacers on my 4.5 @ about 6.5 33x12.5 didn't rub. If you have the newer style flairs you'll be ok. The biggest thing on fitting bigger tires is proper bump stops and shock set up. 5.5 re will fit 33s with no rubbing if you bump stop properly.

Good to know! I've called about 10 shops in town to see if I could test fit but no one had a 31" or 33" instock. Stupid! And when I took some measurements It looked like 33's would be okay. I just dont want to big of a tire for my lift. I hate the way that looks. Yes my flairs are newer style, mines a 99'. Any suggestions on the lenth of the BS?

My bumpstops are too short for stock fenders but you really should flex it as much as you can without rubbing then measure for the length. Next comes setting up the shocks.

When I had only my RE 3.5 kit on, it gave me around 5 inches of lift. I'm guessing the 5.5 kit gives like 8? lol

I have the RE 3.5" with about 1" spacer in the front, on 33" with min rubbing on the inner fender flare. In the rear, I also have a 1.25" shackle and home brew relocation brackets with cut and fold fenders. Minimal running on full stuff there. Stock bumps in rear, slightly extended in front. I also have RK long arms in front
