Bought a used XJ, I am trying to eliminate steering slop and I found out that the track bar has slop on the top end. Doing some research I discovered what I believe to be an aftermarket adjustable track bar but I do not know the brand.
There are a few brands of track bars that use a tie rod end at the frame. Rough Country probably being the most used. Most use a tie rod end that is for other applications as well as the track bar. Remove it and take it to your local parts store. They should be able to match it up. Is the slop at the ball stud of the tie rod end or where it mounts through the frame bracket?
Man... looking at your rig makes me thankful I live in sunny dry California. Lots of rust down there! Make sure you tend to that rust as well, or you might find more slop in other areas once stuff starts breaking apart. While you're fixing things, put some air in the driver's side tire of that skittle back there too
