Seems logical to get one, especially since I do drive in a lot of traffic. Any recommendations? I got an AX15 5 speed.

Improbable, unlikely.. but NEVER impossible. Ha.

But seriously, not necessary. Just run a good quality oil in your trans.

It's possible, but you would have to run an external pump and super lightweight gear oil. As everyone has already said, there is no need for one anyways.

If you want a manual to run cooler, use a full synthetic 75W-90 gear oil. Valvoline, Mobil 1, and Royal Purple would all do the trick. When I change mine next, I'll fork over the dough for RP to squeeze the MPG out of it.

I was gonna say a JunkYard Cooler until I read the post. Just bolt One in there behind Grill for Grins. Might make people think You have a Gnarly shiftn Auto!

Heavy traffic driving will be cooler for that manual anyways, even with High tunnel temps and no Wind blowing through. Yes, a Quality Synthetic will help lower and tolerate High temps. I would use Motul or LiquiMoly. They both have Manual transmission specific oils. So does Scamsoil, but Please stay Away from ScamsOil.

A easily available Domestic choice would be Mobil 1 75w-90, but Ive heard and Had not that great results with my AX15 and AX5s over the years. Google it, 10w-30 and 10w-40 synthetic Motor oils have been Recommended for the last 10 years with (actually last 16years, since 1997) for the AX15. I want to mix half CastrolSyntec 10w-30 and half Castrol Syntec 10w-40 for my 96s AX15 when I get the chance and see how that works.

Good looks on the insight. Glad I've been running castrol synthetic 10w-40 since the start.
