Ok so I have a 2" lift in my 01 Cherokee.and I called to buy some general grabber at2 last night and 235-75-15 is back ordered and tread depot has no idea when they will be available again. damn ,so I looked into the treadwrite tires I have read about on CF. and after along call with a nice young lady from South Dakota, she said they are not taking orders for 235-75-15 until they get rid of there back log for them (dating back to June)She said they will most likely not be carrying anything with 15" rims very soon. Damn,Damn.
but they have some 31, 10,15 AT's available . So my friends after my long-winded story. Will 31" tires fit under my 2" lift with no problems? what kid of gas mileage drop can I expect ?
BTW my rear leaf springs sag a little.

shouldnt have any problems. i ran a 2in lift with 31x10.5x15 a/t's. those are on the factory 15x7 ecco wheels that have the worst backspacing ever so you should be fine.

good luck and post some pics up when you fnally decided what to go with

They will fit but you will have to trim the flairs up front some and if your flexing your gonna rip your flares off. Just put this same setup on my buddies 97.

from what i've read if you have an automatic 31's will give you the best gas mileage but idk how true that is. mine is a DD too and i get around 250miles out of a full tank running mid grade, closer to 230 with regular so thats a little bit of a factor. 31's are great on the street and i didnt have much a problem in the woods. i got close a few times to getting a fender flare caught up but never tore one off.
i'm on a budget too so throwing on an adjustable tracbar($130), lower control arms($50), 2" blocks up front and 2" shackles in the back($80) was a cheap addition to my 2"... 4" total and tucking the 31's is no worry now. didnt change gas mileage either.

I have 3" or so procomp leaf packs in the rear and 3" rough country front coils. If i flex out i rip fender flares off front and back with 31x10.50 grabber at'2s. It will be tight if you have a 2" lift without bumpstops.

that reminds me... some how i lost both front bumpstops in the woods.
i obviously never got this out of th 2" but thats the big difference that budget addition made to the 2" lift. also with the rear sway taken out and the sway links disconnected up front. which is another thing you can do being its a DD. i didnt see any change in how the jeep drove once the rear swaybar was taken out but on the trails i saw a big difference in articulation for it being leafs.
