Default Another thread on fixing shackle angle

91 xj limited, 4.0, auto, 162k. Heep was lifted when I got her, was told it's either a 3 or 31/2 skyjacker lift. My leafs are pretty flat and my shackle angle is 90. Any pointers on how I can remedy this on a budget? I'm fairly mechanically inclined, so I hope to fix this myself. I could prob use new shocks too...

lol Bilstien shocks is not "on a budget".

Anyway get the no-lift relocation brackets. Brilliant little gizmos. Though if you move your shackle far enough forward you might lose a chunk of height. Are those shackles adjustable with different mounting holes? If so you might want to look at the standard type that add lift.

I've been very happy with the HD Offroad Engineering no lift ones. Only $100 when I got them a few months ago.

Yes, these shackles have different mounting holes. Any particular brand of relo brackets I should use? And what brand of shocks?

The FST brackets factor in the shackle angle difference.

What?

They all do the same thing...

Do yourself a favor and go HD offroad, this coming from someone with the FST brackets.

Bilsteins are ****.

Hopefully the tax return fairy is good to me this year! That way I can justify upgrades to the wife.

Never mind. Not worth explaining seeing as the HD brackets look like the better choice.

No, no. You asked what brackets to buy when 94XjSport94 had already said to buy the HD offroad ones.

Are the HD offroad no lift ones an absolute weld in item?
